Writing Reports About Animals Workbook 2
Writing Reports About Animals Workbook 2
This workbook is designed to enable children to develop their ability to plan and write a non-fiction report. Each section in this workbook focuses on a different animal. The learner is required to research key information about the given animal such as appearance, habitat, diet, movement and any other interesting facts and then include this information in note form on the planning page provided. The learner should then use the plan to write a structured report about the animal.
Encouraging learners to formulate a plan before engaging in the writing process allows them to develop the skills of writing with a structure which is important in the construction of a non-fiction report. The planning pages provided in this workbook encourages an appropriate structure to follow when writing the reports.
