Writing Newspaper Reports
This workbook aims to develop children’s skills in newspaper report writing. There are 10 activities included with each one consisting of a planning page and a report page. For each activity, a picture is provided that illustrates an event. The learner is required to use their imagination to create an event that has occurred and then make notes of the following key questions on the planning page:
Who is this report about?
What is this report about?
When did this event happen?
Where did this event happen?
What is going to happen next?
The learner will then be required to use these notes to construct a newspaper report about the event.
